Some one offered to post their credentials after the match. I'll get things started. Hopefully this can help those who come after us.

Med School: Hi-powered, big name, academic in Midwest
Step I: 228
Step II: 245 (took at end of Jan, so not a factor)
Research/publications: Yes, research. Nothing published in
Ortho. G-surg case report still brewing from 3rd year.
Junior AOA: Not at my school.
3rd year grades: Honors: G-surg, Peds. Commendable (hi
-pass) in everything else.
4th year ortho A.I.s: CWRU-honors, Mayo-honors, CCF-
honors.
AOA: No
Applied to: 60 programs, all ortho. All over the country
(mostly midwest).
Interview offers: 16
Interviews taken: 12 (CWRU, CCF, Harvard, Mayo, Cincinnatti,
Kentucky, MSU-kalamazoo, Henry Ford, Howard,
Toledo, Indiana, and Loyola)
Declined (4): UT Southwestern, USC, Louisville, Albany (all
declined because of scheduling conflicts).
Matched: CWRU - No. 1 choice.

pretty good letters, including my best one which was from a pediatrician (got to read the letters on several interviews)
interviewed at wash u, mayo, UK-kansas city, UK wichita, kentucky, kalamazoo, wright state, indiana, slu, missouri, umkc (mistake!), west virginia, SLU, cincinnati.
had to turn down southern illinois b/c of scheduling
Did aways at kalamazoo and west virginia
matched at kalamazoo
one happy dude!

Good luck all you 3rd years, i SERIOUSLY do not envy you at all having to go through all that applying/interviewing madness!!

interviews (23): wash u, mayo, hss, hjd, mt. sinai, brown, uva, u of rochester, cwru, tufts, indiana u, u missouri, henry ford, wayne state, u of cincinnati, siu, st. lukes, stony brook, san fran program, maricopa, lij, uic, mcow

declined due to conflicts (12): u kentucky, u kansas-wichita, u kansas-kc, bu, grand rapids, u maryland, slu, u mississippi, albany, penn state, george washington, usc

matched: mt. sinai

bench to step I: 1.3, but plan on trying to boost this in my spare time before residency!

good luck to all next year. as you can see, i really got to see the country and get a sense of what a bunch of different programs were like. i also got to flex my credit cards while having fun with all of the awesome people i met along the way (perry osteum, afortho, etc..)! when it was all said and done, i matched at a program that is awesome and that i know well. can't wait to start!!

applied to 61 programs, all over country. approx 20 interviews, went on 14 (cinci, cwru, hopkins, loyola, duke, rochester, harvard, brown, colorado, uwash, michigan, wayne, gw, ucla) secondary to conflicts.

Academics: 3.5 GPA in year 1&2...honors in FP, Surgery, and Ortho clerkships in 3rd year.

Interviews: UMKC, UCDavis, UM-Columbia, Mayo, Buffalo, Tulane, UNM, and SUNY Stony Brook.
Matched: SUNY Stony Brook!

Son of a Buck. Just pushing this back to the top shelf since it seems very valuable to many of us MS3. Nice to find people similar to ourselves and see they got interviews and where at. Any love would be appreciated and valued.
