2025-2026 IU Health Sports Medicine-Hip Clinical Research Fellowship 
 
Position Title: Clinical Research Fellow
Positions: 2  
Duration: 1 year
Who: 1st-4th year U.S. medical students interested in Orthopaedic Surgery
Where: Indiana University Health. Indianapolis, IN.
When: Beginning approximately June 2025
Salary: $35k per year
 
I am offering two 12 month long clinical research fellowship positions to current or soon to graduate medical students for the upcoming 2025-2026 academic year. I am a high volume sports medicine trained surgeon who focuses exclusively on the treatment of hip and groin injuries. I have extensive clinical research and mentorship experience, and the fellows will work directly with me throughout the year on a variety of clinical research projects.
 
Applications are currently being accepted and will be considered on a rolling basis.  The expectation of this position is to be academically productive in preparation for application (or re-application) for an orthopaedic surgery residency position.  
 
For research publications, the research fellow will be involved in the entire process from data collection to manuscript writing to final publication.  Research is collaborative, and you will frequently work together with orthopaedic surgery residents and other medical students.
 
Desired skills are the following: 
-Strong technical writing skills
-Strong communication skills
-Organized work style
-Good work ethic
-Experience with reference management software (Endote, Refworks, etc.) is encouraged but not required
-Experience with statistical analysis and data interpretation are encouraged but not required.
