I have heard only positive things about the program. Someone from my school matched there a while
back and he loves it there.
Apparently they operate a ton and their case load is impressive. If you want to operate a lot and early,
this is THE place to go to.
There are plenty of opportunities for research but the academic burden is not overwhelming like some
places.

I am currently a resident at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. I can only say good things about
the program here. The strength of the program is the operative experience, with 20 faculty and only 10
residents, there are more cases than you could even want to do. The case load is impressive, and we do
operate a ton. But I know everyone says this, so we are happy to host you for a day or two to see it for
yourself.
You can see a good overview of the program on the Scutwork.com website. Or if you want to hear more
about it on this board, let me know.
If you have an interview at AGH, it is worth the trip to check it out. We have one more interview day on
Dec. 21. Hope to see you there.
