When do interviews usually begin? I am thinking of doing a third away that wont end until the end of november. I dont want to have to take off to go to interviews during an away.

Also should i schedule some backup rotations on months i am applying at other schools for in case i dont get the months i need?
I am a MSIII also I am doing a 3rd away during that month also because most interviews start in Dec

My 1st interview wasn't til Dec 7. I know a few people that had the last friday in November, but not many. Most places when they offer you an interview give you a list of dates and you give them your preference.
I think November is a great time to do an away as long as you don't expect a letter-obviously it will be past the deadline. But you will be fresh in everyone's mind as they begin to make interview offers at that program.

The first interview I have heard of was on Dec 1. I did an away in Nov and left a day early to drive to that interview. All in all, do the away, everything will work out...
