Does anyone know of any 2-week sub-I's, especially in the south. Most of the Sub-I's i've looked at are 4 weeks.
If u ask nicely I bet most places wold let you do a 2 week elective. THe dont advertise them but you can negotiate almost anything.

don't know your reasoning, but when i scheduled sub-i's i thought about doing that to see a couple more programs and make myself familiar. my adviser (also home program PD) discouraged me. he felt, and this may be particular to our program or region, that you didn't learn enough about the program to help, and you also basically told the program they didn't make the cut to be one of your "real" sub-i's. just a thought.

cheers.

I was going to do one away at a program I feel very good about, and another on the west coast because I thought in would help getting interviews with those programs. I only have two more weeks on my schedule and I would like to do a third rotation just to have exposure to another program. How important is it to do a west coast rotation in regard to getting interviews at other west coast programs (coming from the east coast of course)? And what would be a good program to rotate through?
