Hello to all! I am a M2 going into that semester where Step 1 awaits....lol. I have read alot of the threads if not all of them in regards to Step 1, Step 2 and those individuals who didnt do so well on Step 1. By the way to those unfortunte individuals I wish you the best and remember..if you should fall 7 times it just means that you can stand up 8. I guess after reading all the threads there is no formula so to speak about studying for the Step and doing well. Although I myself have yet to take it I guess I can say that it depends on the seriousness and determination of the test taker. And I believe after you do your part in your study efforts and you take the test, there is nothing you can do after that but prepare to keep going strong no matter the score good or bad. What will be will be. I have beaten myself up about getting into Ortho and I have yet to take Step 1. My grades are not stellar and I know that I must do well on Step 1, 2 and get A's on the wards with away rotations to have a fighting chance.
I know you guys are like where is he going with this. Not to be funny..but I myself dont know. I do have questions though.
Is studying for Step beginning from Jan until (of course in between classes) the semester ends overkill, meaning do most people forget the material? Or is that not a realistic approach. I am just trying to get an overall review of this since I get mixed thoughts at my school?
