Couple of questions for students and/or PDs:

How much do you think programs communicate with one another about each other's rank list?

Do they discuss certain students and who has verbally committed to a program?

All I know is that it's interesting how the Academy meeting is the week before lists are due.

does discussion occur about applicants between individuals ... probably

thing is rank lists, in general are made soon after the last interview .... most have probably already finalized their list ...

I've heard rumors about discussions at the Academy as well, but it can't be anything consistent because the Academy meeting isn't always the same week. Next year it is the first week of March, so it will be after lists are officially finalized.
