My internal-medicine core is mostly self-study and self-directed contact with patients with not much of a formal training training program. What sources have you found were the best for this rotation to prepare for step 2 as well as for general knowlege? I heard the blueprints series was good.
With each disease/acute illness you encounter, try to read what you can. Some great sources are the textbooks on MD Consult and UpToDate, if you have access.

If you have the time the NMS medicine book is about as complete as it gets. Blueprints for medicine is not bad either.
