not everyone is interested in research. I know that Case is also well rounded, but i think people should be wary judging programs based on rankings such as these and the famous US News rankings. I always got so annoyed when i was interviewing listening to people spout out those numbers, when there are so many other things to consider ALSO (meaning that these figures have value, but to consider them with the big picture of a training program, not just say "gee, Case had the most awards, so they must be the best program)

Case Western also leads the country in the number of crazy people holed up in buildings shooting at students, taking over the title from the University of Texas, who is rumored to be quite disappointed over losing the top spot . If you are into academics and want to be chair at a program someday, then a place like CWRU is for you (although you would be better served at HSS, UWashington, Iowa, etc.
