anyone know if programs really factor in how large/strong/big you appear at intervews? granted, if all else is more or less equal in terms of step1, grades, etc....

i'm not expecting it's a formal criteria or even one that is discussed openly, but more of a subconscious thing...

didn't you have to go through the "feats of strength" room at HSS??!! at another place they made the intreviewees face off in an all out battle royal! i think bonejock even showed some programs how many bench press reps of 225 he could do!

seriously though, some of this process is like a fraternity. you pick the ones that either look like you, that you would like to hang out with, or the ones that you want to back you up in a brawl with the gen surg department!

It depends. Some programs rank girth high while others choose length. Remember, size is not as important as what you do with it.

hey HandJob, don't kid yourself--
from the perspective of a female with a 1:2 bench:step 1 ratio, all things being equal, size DOES matter! ):)
