ideas for non-ortho elective for fourth year?

I have a 2 week block free after fall showcase rotations and am debating between anesthesia (lots of OR time but might not all be in ortho cases) or radiology (fewer hours so I could go to the OR but it would be on off rotation time only).

Any advice personal experiential or otherwise in this decision?
Think it depends on the institution?
Got another suggestion for 4th year non-ortho electives? (school makes me take 4 weeks of IM subspecialty)

rheumatology
anesthesia
radiology
advanced gross anatomy
sicu

All of them where worthwhile and helpful.

how bout something where you don't have to show up at all? you'll have plenty of exposure to those other things the rest of your career... what you won't have is free time.

Without a doubt spend some time on advanced anatomy. If your program will let you specifically spend time during extremities dissections, you should do that. Anatomy is a surgeon's road map and if you don't know it, you'll get lost quickly. You will most likely never get another chance to see anatomy in that way again.

Anatomy elective, make your own hours and learn (relearn) a ton.

Radiology was good, i'd do MSK rad and maybe spend a day w/ the CXR guys so you can get the basics you'll need for intern year.

anesthesia would be nice if they let you go early. maybe go in and get some intubations or lines placed and leave by 10am at the latest. if you have to stay any longer it's a waste of your time.
