The best articles are from the American JBJS. If you want to save some money, I would skip the British version. You can always look over the table of contents online and copy any articles that look good.
JBJS is the standard journal to read in most residencies. The problem however is with subspecialization. Most of the really good articles are in their respective subspecialty journals. This has left JBJS over the recent years to mostly an Adult Recon and basic science journal. Despite this fact, it was required reading in our residency and was used for the journal club each month.
