I'm a current Harvard resident and I rotated through the system. The registrar's office is actively terrible and will make your life difficult without the slightest bit of remorse. I found out about 1 month before the rotation started so just have patience. In that month usually they can accommodate most. It is the same with all other specialties.

Don't bother calling, they will yell at you. I promise, though, that the hospital staff are the polar opposite. It's a pleasure to work with people in the partners system, everyone is more than helpful! PM me with any other ?'s.

I haven't even heard about August, so I wouldn't count on hearing about September for awhile. I called last week, and while I was yelled at, the woman on the phone said they would send email notices about August last week....though I didn't hear anything yet, probably because she threw my app out after my call. Hopefully she threw the check away with it.

Also, some advice to anyone who is submitting an application. Make sure that you submit a complete application. The registrar's office has zero tolerance for incomplete applications and will not consider you if you try to add materials later.

Thanks guys! Appreciate the advice. I actually got an e-mail today saying it was received and is being processed. (I guess MGH uses a special mail-system that includes a 2 month delay. ) I guess I will just keep waiting and hope things work out. Because its probably too late at this point to apply for other aways....
