Did anyone on the interview trail this year happen to notice which midwest progams are the most supportive of married residents with kids. Which programs had a higher proportion of married residents? Supportive community for spouses, etc... Thanks
Iowa is the most family friendly, with Grand Rapids coming in a close second.

i think most any community program would be good if you had a family. ive heard good things about the programs in ohio. SIU is a program that doesn't get mentioned very much, but does have a very nice lifestyle.

any of the midwest private programs are very family friendly

Kzoo
Grandrapids
both dayton programs
Fort Wayne

In general, many private programs are very family friendly. I graduated from a midwest private with 3 kids. Worked very hard, but had enough time to spend with the fam. Hope this helps.

As a current Ohio State resident, I would say our program is extremely family friendly. One of our chiefs last year finished with his 5th kid on the way and one of our currnet chiefs is expecting his fourth this month. Those are extreme admittedly, but I would say about half of the residents have kids and columbus is a very easy place to have a family - nearly every resident owns a house and there is plenty to do.
