anybody heard of a book by Zuckerman called something like "how to successfully obtain an orthopaedic residency"? one of my interns said he got a hold of a copy last year and was packed with interview tips, LOR stuff and otherwise. wondering if this was just a handout to NYU students or was published- i cant find it anywheres. sounds pretty interesting... ):)

there was a previous posting with the address to get the book. it was reviewed in the book review section of JBJS if you want to search for it that way. off the top of my head, i think you just call cynthia bastien (sp?) at NYU and find out where to send a check to. very helpful book though.

My friend bought this book and she says it's not bad. Most of the useful info in there can also be found at this forum. It also has tips on how to be successful once you get a residency and also stuff like how to life on a resident's salary, etc.

I got the book and it's pretty good. It's nice to hear some stuff "straight from the horse's mouth" if you know what I mean. There is tons of great info on this web site, but sometimes it is just word of mouth stuff, so hearing something straight from the Big Man is a bit reassuring.
Good info in there about interviews -- little details about what to wear, etc...stuff you may not have thought much about.
I thought it was worth the $24.
