The NYU Langone Orthopedics Division of Shoulder & Elbow Surgery invites motivated medical and pre-medical students to apply for a clinical research fellowship position. A one-year minimum commitment is required.

Research Fellowship Experience
This is a wonderful opportunity for highly motivated individuals to improve their experience, grow their professional network, and strengthen their applications for the orthopedic surgery residency match or medical school.The research fellows will have an opportunity to work on numerous clinical and translational research projects, and will be trained on integral components of research including but not limited to hypothesis generation, IRB protocol writing, collecting data, data analyses and writing manuscripts for publication. Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills and strong knowledge of statistics are desirable qualities for this research position.Research fellows have the opportunity to participate in our translational research efforts which encompass areas such as mechanical engineering, biomechanics, artificial intelligence, and cost-effectiveness.Mentorship and Educational Opportunities:Our division has a strong commitment to the mentorship and education of our research fellows. Throughout the year, we have weekly and monthly research meetings to discuss new projects and progression of ongoing research projects. We have a strong track record of supporting our research fellows into and beyond the next step in their career progression.As a research fellow, you will have opportunity to work along with orthopedic resident and shoulder and elbow fellow. You will have access to educational opportunities including journal club, cadaveric lab, webinars, resident conferences and attend regional or national meetings
