The division of orthopaedic trauma at the University of Kentucky is seeking a 3rd year medical student, or recently unmatched student for a 1-year paid research fellowship position. This fellowship will begin at the end of your 3rd or 4th year (May/June 2017).

This is a great opportunity to work with our division under the direction of Dr. Paul Matuszewski, Dr. Eric Moghadamian, Dr. Ray Wright, and Dr. Arun Aneja. As a clinical research fellow you will be exposed to both ongoing clinical trials, prospctive research and retrospective work. You will have the opportunity to participate in conferences as well, to continue your orthopaedic education. There will be no clinical responsibilities, although if you are interested, it may be possible to be arrange if your medical school will allow (i.e. 1 month Orthopaedic Sub-Internship).

This position is designed for highly motivated individuals seeking to improve their application for residency. During your time here, you will be involved in ongoing trials, manuscript preparation and submission, IRB submissions and other research activities. Our goal is to get you involved, bring projects to submission, and aide in other ongoing projects. You will have the opportunity to go on interviews and we will support your application process.
