Just curious about some programs anyone may have encountered that are a bit more accepting of a low Step 1 score for both away rotations and interviews.
i think it would depend on how low, and what programs you are thinking of. There is a thread about Step I cutoffs somewhere around here.

I dont think most will have a good answer until after match day. I will say some places wont allow you to rotate with a substandard Step 1 score. However, most I have been around will let you rotate. That is dangerous because they may not interview you or strongly look at you with a low score anyway. Remember more often than not you train were you rotate so if you bust your butt you can make up some ground. My model for impressing people was I wanted to work harder than anyone. I wanted to know about my procedures and also wanted to be guy that all the residents wanted to hang with, be one of the guys. I think if you show a program all those aspects of you it could go a long way in impressing low step score or not.
