Out of the Match programs?

This might sound like a crisis call, but it will be great if someone can share a list of programs which are offering PGY-1 positions but not participating in the match. Please also share any acc/non-acc PGY-1 pre-residency positions in Orthopedic surgery.

I may be wrong but I think all programs are now required to fill through the match.

With the exception of programs that have been granted an expansion (which allows a program to get a PGY-1 and PGY-2 resident in addition to their standard allotment of PGY-1 categorical residents) I think all spots are through the match (NRMP's "All In" policy).

I think there are usually 1 or 2 scramble spots available each year which are outside the match, but it's probably not in your best interest to apply to those early...

Hm, or maybe it is. Wonder what would happen if you dropped an app now to every program, saying "Just in case I don't match and you happen to not fill your spots, please get used to seeing my name in your office. Oh, and please also consider me for your regular match spots, too". Interesting.
