I know that I've heard from several others (myself included) that our Rank Lists have been influenced by all of the unofficial peripheral stuff that goes on outside of the spirit of the match (emails, letters, calls, conversations with your home PD, your own desire to tell a program they're your "No. 1", etc).

I thought it would be interesting to get a handle on how many people have actually altered their ROL's based on outside influences versus the ROL truly reflecting the top choices in order of preference if no communication had happened at all.
