Any news on new faculty recruitment at St. Louis Univ.? Is Dr. Moed bringing his entire team of orthopods with him? Any other recent developments?
When I interviewed at Wayne State, I was told the entire trauma team was going to SLU.

I've heard the same thing -- that Dr. Moed is bring about 3-4 folks with him (from Wayne state). In addition, Dr. Burdge is apparently recruiting 1-2 more people as well. It seems like what was disaster for SLU could end up a blessing in disguise. I've heard that Moed will take over as chair and that Burdge is going to stay on as residency director (and finally stop taking trauma call).

Could be an interesting situation there come match day. --- apparently Burdge never interviews very many-- combine that with the change to 6 years and the new team coming in....

I can confirm Exfixpin's info. I am an MS3 at slu and this seems to be the plan. Everybody around here is still a little unsure of how everything is going to pan out but it is just the fine details that are left to figure out. The 6th year has not been formally outlined yet but the plan is for a split educational and research year. We are actively recruiting a couple others to round out the additions brought in by Dr. Moed.
