Hey Folks,

Has anyone heard about any recent departmental changes at UM-Columbia? I've heard that their director was asked to step-down and, possibly, other faculty might soon be leaving as well. Any truth to this? Thanks. h well:
Stumpy, there is a degree of truth to what you have heard. I'm not certain that UM's director was asked to leave, but they are currently looking for a chairman. My understanding is that they do not have anybody particular in mind at this time and that their search is just beginning. One of their trauma guys is leaving this month, but they are also getting a new trauma guy soon. I hope this helps. Good luck!
