Historically, from my research on this board and from my interview, USC has the reputation of unsupervised operative time. Malignancy etc...
My gut feel when I left the place is that I possibly could see myself there in the end. Other than the county facilities which are very bad, the program/resident's seemed the same as anywhere else.
I am looking for some insider info to help with my rank list. What are they doing about the rumors of unsupervised operations by residents? Not that I don't want to operate, or that I am all mushy- but what about those patients? Also, I didn't meet any 'malignant' attendings. Are they hiding? What makes them malignant?
Your help is appreciated.
