Was hoping for some advice about aways...
I am running somewhat late on the ortho schedule - I just decided to apply into ortho instead of ENT so I havent scheduled any aways yet.
I have done 2 subIs in ortho at my home institution, and am wondering when I should do my away. Is it necessary to do the away before the letters of rec go out to ERAS? I was hoping to get all my letters from my home institution and then maybe doing an away in mid October, November or December. SHould I instead scramble to get one in September somewhere instead just to get a letter?
Any thoughts about whether this is a good/bad/neutral idea? Are letters from aways a necessary or advantageous part of the application or should I not be sweating it?
Thanks for the advice....
