Just a heads up, make sure you actually talk to a program before proposing/accepting a swap. Although we may think its a good idea, a lot of programs have a wait list for those dates and use those first to fill their dates rather than relying on having someone on some forum that supposedly agreed to swap with you.

Yep, I've heard this from a few.

Also, does swapping somehow affect you negatively? Can't imagine that the administrators love dealing with swaps, and we know they give feedback on applicants at many programs. Then again, maybe my neuroticism is getting the best of me...
