2025 - 2026 University of Kentucky Orthopaedic Trauma Research Fellowship
The University of Kentucky Orthopaedic Trauma division
is offering a one year fellowship designed for US students, who are unmatched and/or want to take a year off this cycle.  This fellowship is designed to be great addition to your educational experience. We are a top trauma program in the country with more than 3,000 cases performed yearly.  We have ongoing NIH and DoD funded projects that you will be involved with, including some investigator driven projects as well. You will primarily work with Dr. Paul Matuszewski but be exposed to other trauma attendings as well. We have ongoing investigations involving post traumatic rehabilitation, complication prevention and pain control. Dr. Matuszewski has several years of experience of working with medical students in this position and successfully achieving students to match.  There will be opportunities to observe surgical procedures/spend time in clinic. We encourage a rotation with us, although medical school limitations may prevent this (check with your med school).  Past research experience is helpful, but not required.
