UVA Orthopaedics - Spine Research Fellowship

Location: University of Virginia, Charlottesville, VA
Preceptor: Hamid Hassanzadeh

The University of Virginia Orthopaedic Surgery Department is accepting applications for a paid Research Fellowship Position for the academic year from 2018-2019.

The goal of the research fellowship is to mentor senior medical students interested in orthopaedic surgery. Although the fellowship is focused primarily on research within the Spine Division, applicants need not have a vested interest in spine surgery for their future career. The fellow will be involved in ongoing retrospective and prospective studies, with opportunities to learn skills pertaining to grant writing, data analysis, and manuscript preparation. The division currently has many projects that will be continued into next year, with more to be conceived in the future.

Students are supervised by Dr. Hassanzadeh and have the opportunity to take part in all education activities available through the department. A stipend is provided. If you are interested in applying, please email Dr. Hassanzadeh at hh4xd@virginia.edu.
