Saint Louis University’s Department of Orthopaedic Surgery invites medical school graduates to apply for a one-year Junior Orthopaedic Fellowship that will begin in the summer of 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for highly motivated individuals who are interested in a career in Orthopaedic Surgery. The Junior Orthopaedic Fellow (JOF) will participate in all aspects of patient care, ranging from preoperative planning to postoperative care. In addition, the JOF will be actively involved in research projects, both self-directed and working in collaboration with faculty and residents.Program Strengths:1.       Dedicated Senior Faculty: The JOF will receive mentorship and personalized guidance from leading academic orthopaedic surgeons.2.       Research Experience. The JOF will have access to research staff including research scientist, research statistician, and a clinical research RN. The JOF will have the opportunity to work on both self-directed and collaborative projects with faculty and residents.3.       Personalized Experience. The JOF will have access to orthopaedic surgeons in many different sub-specialties.Approximately 50% of the time will be clinical and 50% will be dedicated to research.  Ideally this program will start on June 1, 2026 and end on May 31, 2027.
