h$%&o,

I'm an MSII in the process of blocking out time for my third and fourth years.

I'm wondering the best months to plan to do my ortho electives. I'd like to do 3 (one at my home school and two aways). I was thinking either June-August or July-September. I'd like to try to get a letter each place I rotate.

Also, what is the best month to schedule vacation for interviews? December? January? When are the latest/earliest possible interviews. Which month has the most?

I may be getting ahead of myself here, but we are actually scheduling for fourth year.

Thanks for the help.

In your case, the earlier the better, that will allow time to get your letters in.

June-July-August would be fine.

As far as interviews, they begin in Dec., but the bulk of mine were in JAN (basically the whole month of JAN about every 2-3 days!)

Most interview are finished by Feb. 1st, although a few programs interview later (very few), with the latest I heard being Hawaii (Feb 22nd), and not many interview in november.

I was freaking out, because I didnt hear from a lot of my programs until DECEMBER, inviting me for interviews!

Good luck to you, hope this helps a bit.
