I rotated at Campbell and I would agree with longhorn orthopod. There is also a good post on scutwork.com by someone who also rotated there.

One thing that everyone leaves out is the trauma experience at the Med in Memphis. It is extremely busy even compared to my home program which is also very busy. During your PGY-2 year, you do 6 months at the Med. 3 months on Q4 ortho trauma (the operative team) and the other 3 months alternating 24-on, 24-off "desk call" (seeing ER consults, treating, admitting, scheduling surgery-everything but operating) with another PGY-2. It's pretty intense, but it has become a right of passage for the residents there. It may sound bad, but once you are done with the desk rotation, you can handle most anything that is thrown your way as far as trauma goes. During your PGY-3 through 5 years you spend 3 months at the Med, Q4. All of the residents have alot of fun and they work hard while at the Med. Otherwise, the rest of the schedule is more humane.

All of this being said, Campbell Clinic will definitely be at the top of my rank list.
