They are both terrific. Broadly speaking, if you want a more solid trauma experience, go Case Western. If you are more interested in subspecialty elective surgery, go Cleveland Clinic. Cleveland Clinic is now a six-year program which is mandatory for all incoming residents (one year of research). CWRU has 2 of the 6 residents do research after the intern year.
