I am a foreign medical graduate, male, 27, who has completed ortho postgraduation from India. I am from a "no-name" school in India but did my postgraduation in ortho from a relatively well-known school in India(My prof there is the editor of JPO, Dr Benjamin Joseph). I do not have any publications yet but hope to get a couple in the next 2 years. I am presently doing my MPH at Univ of MD. What do you guys think are my chances of getting into any residency program in ortho here in USA? I got my part 1 USMLE results yesterday and I scored 99.

Do u think this would help? Are there any specific medical schools where they are more likely to take FMGs? I assume they`d be lower ranked schools. But I would be content with ANY school. Do u think it would take a long time for me to get into a residency in ortho? How old would u all be when u complete ortho residency? (Sorry if that is a rude question, but I would like to get an idea of what I am in for)
