Anybody rotate/heard anything about the rotation there that has some hints/advice/info? Any other info on the Harvard ortho residency program would be appreciated too. Thanks in advance!

I tried to do an away rotation at Harvard last year. I say "tried" because after I was approved, my search for housing was fruitless. It may have been the time of year i was going (September), but even with 2 months to look I couldn't find anything reasonable. The only accomidations I could find were Tourist-style stuff for $400/week. My advice is to look early...even if they haven't accepted you yet. Good luck! :pimp:

There was a blurb on the Harvard rotation in the archives. I believe I saw it on page 10 now. The only thing that I would add is that you should spend some time overnight with the ortho resident who covers the ER while on trauma. Not only is this an awesome learning experience (where you get to do as much as you feel comfortable with, ie splinting, casting, and relocating things), but you could also present the cases the next morning at the fracture conference, which scores big points. Spending time in the ER is not really stressed at the beginning of the rotation so I don't think a lot of med students do it, so if you do you will be a star.
