For those places with multiple interview days: thought I would share my experiences in hopes that others will as well for the enlightenment of all

UIC- morning conference, no interviewee participation. group exodus to chat with residents and await a phone call in which you exit one by one to face a panel of 5 (chair, two to three attendings, one 5th year) simple questions.

prepare: may want a clean joke ready if one particular attending is on the panel

afterward dinner and more casual conversation

my advice relax, enjoy, low stress day.

CWRU-

Saturday morning grand rounds, (although will cease and desist from Saturdays at beginning of year- moved to Wednesday am) Nice video presentation then the group of 40 is split into am or pm. Your time is when you interview. When not interviewing you tour and chat with residents.

Couple hours later we played football with about 30 residents and applicants, 4 teams. Very very sore.

Evening drinks and socializing at local hangout.

Don't forget: bring parking stub to get validated at interviews! every $9 helps....
