Chuck, whats up you scumbag! Glad to hear you're lovin' it up there at Wash U. Show 'em what the dirty south is all about. So whats the dilly-o with these supplemental evaluation forms. Just started working on them now, am I screwed or what? But more importantly you gettin' any decent snapper around there?

supplementals for all programs are kind of like extra hoops to jump through. I had mine all scanned in with the LOR. Places will except them if they are just sent in. try to give them to the people writing your leters when you ask for the letter as they tend to get annoyed when you keep coming back with more and more sheets. Also many of the sheets said rank this applicant out of the last 25 or 50 students you have worked with. others say give this person a score out of 50 or 100. I had one person fill out saying that i was 50 out of 50 students but what she meant was that i was the best out of the last 50 and would get 50 out of 50 points.

Also I would look at all of your letters before submitting them. I had a friend who was a superb candidate who was screwed because one letter writer had his secretary type out a letter. it was full of misspellings and was just plain horrible. take no chances.

also sometimes folks ask about thank you notes. I typed notes. they are all saved. ie you interview with 8 people... each note is kept. I tried to personalize them when possible.

I miss the south but this program is absolutely ridiculous. tough to beat. faculty second to none. facilities outstanding.

As for snapper, lets just say there is more than enough game in town.

Anyone else with questions. ask.
