Need Advice: XX, average #s, CA programs?

hola - lots of folks in the recent past have put up their stats and match info for different programs. many new users get frustrated reading through the forum looking for relevant info. using the search function greatly expedites this process, and will certainly give you some of the info you are looking for. most of the recent grads are not exactly surfing this site right now, prepping for their intern years and moving cross country, so don't be disappointed if you don't get a flood of responses right away. a common theme is that there are lots of success stories of people that don't seem to stack up for ortho on paper, but end up matching. also a handful full of shoo-ins that somehow find themselves scrambling or figuring out how to re-apply. as soon to be applicants, we are in the uncomfortable situation of wanting answers before they are available. be wary of anyone that pretends that they can tell you how it will all work out - we are all essentially guessing at this point. the point to this ramble is chin-up, stay focused, don't get complacent, don't get intimidated, and continue to kick arse and think positive. hope that helps. it will be fun to cross paths with other users on the trail this coming year.
