Does anyone know where I could find the number of IMGs and DOs who have matched into Ortho programs during the past few years? Thanks.

Hi, to find the # of MDs, DOs, and IMGs per specialty, go to:

The Sept. 3rd 2003 issue of JAMA, and go to the appendix. There you will find the total number docs per specialty.
I think last year there were 17 DOs in allopathic Ortho programs, now there are 25 or so DOs in allo. Ortho programs. A reason for this increase may be due to the fact that there are over 2700 DOs each year that graduate with only 1500 or so DO spots, thus some go allopathically.
Hope this helps.
