For those of you who interviewed in Dec, around what time were you done w/ your interview day? I have a flight to catch at 4, and I wanted to know if that was realistically enough time (particularly if there are tours at the end). Thanks!

You should be fine. Just let Susan know that you have to catch a flight at 4pm. The airport isn't too far, and as far as I can remember we were done by about 2pm at the latest with tours and interviews.

To piggyback on this thread -- what happens during the pre-interview orientation? I have an interview the day before and have to miss it.

No worries. There is basically just a brief ppt presentation given by the PD, Dr. Throckmorton giving a general overview of the program and structure of the training. It's only like 15-20 min. After that they provide you with dinner (BBQ from a local joint). There may be a few residents there, but mostly you meet more of the residents after that when everyone heads over to the bar (Fox & Hound) for drinks and appetizers. A good number of residents will be there the next morning for interviews and tours, so you'll get to meet some of them on interview day. Hope that helps.
