I would not classify Union Mem. as a community program. They're a smaller hospital, but they have a kickass lab and spend time at both Shock Trauma and Hopkins for peds and tumor. Union also has the Curtis National Hand Center and world-reknowned foot and ankle docs. There only weakness would probably be spine, but they just got a new spine guy. Recent residents have gotten fellowships at HSS, Kerlan-Jobe, Miami. There attendings are very well connected.
Be forewarned though, they only take two a year. They also only interview about 20-25, about 8 of whom are rotators. Should have about a 235 on Step 1 to think about getting an interview without rotating. :smokin:
