1. Vanderbilt - solid program, felt very comfortable with the residents and attendings, reasonable town, tradition
2. Utah - fantastic location, good residents, well balanced experience.
3. Wisconsin - great chairman, nice town, good lifestyle, happiest residents around, solid experience, cold.
4. U. of Wash - liked the residents, name, trauma exposure - but fellow heavy, high housing cost, seemed to have high scut factor as a lower level
5. Dartmouth - beautiful location, nice new med center, good residents, not a lot of job opportunities for spouses.
6. Mayo - Amazing facilities, name, top attendings, operate later in training
7. Campbell - tradition, good op experience, 3 months each year (6 mo as a pgy2) at the Med (+ and -), memphis
8. Wash U - name, solid op experience, academic, didn't feel I fit with personalities of the residents
9. OHSU - skywalks, chairman definitely moving things in the right direction, cool town, without a sports guy until this year.
10. UNM - not a great town but great surroundings.
