Junior Orthopaedic FellowshipPosition SummarySaint Louis University’s Department of Orthopaedic Surgery invites medical school graduates to apply for a one-year Junior Orthopaedic Surgery Fellowship, starting in the summer of 2022. This is an exciting opportunity for highly motivated individuals who are interested in pursuing a career in orthopaedic surgery. The Junior Orthopaedic Surgery Fellow (JOF) will actively participate in all aspects of patient care, ranging from preoperative planning to postoperative follow-up. In addition, the JOF will be actively involved in research projects both self-directed and working in coordination with faculty and residents.
Program Strengths1. Dedicated Clinical Faculty: JOF will receive mentorship and personalized guidance from leading academic orthopaedic surgeons.2. Research Experience: JOF will have access to research staff including a research scientist, research statistician, and research RN. JOFs will have the opportunity to work on self-directed and collaborative projects with orthopaedic surgeons and residents.3. Personalized Experience: JOF will have access to orthopaedic surgeons in many different sub-specialties.
