Title: Sports Medicine Research Fellow
Duration: Full-time position for 1 year
Faculty Advisor: Benjamin Ma, MD (Chief, Sports Medicine and Shoulder Service, UCSF)

We are accepting applications for a highly motivated medical student or recent graduate who is interested in participating in orthopaedic sports medicine research. We have an active research group with multiple ongoing projects, including investigations into kinematic changes after ACL reconstruction, the identification of early cartilage changes in post-traumatic arthritis, and many others.

We are seeking an individual with a strong academic record and excellent communication skills. This candidate would work closely with the Orthopaedic Sports Medicine group and Musculoskeletal Quantitative Imaging Research group. Through the year, an individual in this position would have the opportunity to pursue his/her self-developed research questions in addition to working as part of larger projects. The candidate would be able to attend weekly sub-specialty conferences, as well as join the faculty in clinic and the operating room as time permits. There would be opportunities to present research at national meetings and to publish research manuscripts, depending on productivity during the year.

All interested individuals should send a CV and cover letter to Drew Lansdown, MD at [email protected].
