Thanks for the info on IU guys, I agree that no news is good news,,, at least for now.

Also, FixFx, just out of curiosity I was wondering if you rotated at NU? I want to get to the bottem of this "you have to rotate to interview" thing at Northwestern.

Got an interview offer from U of Florida today thru email. Dates 11/22, 12/9, 12/18, 1/8, & 1/17. All the dates have a getting to know you the day before except 12/9 which has it the same day/night. Good luck everyone!

Add my name to the list of those that have heard nothing from anyone. I applied to IU, and I haven't received any form of letter.

Haven't heard from IU and submitted my application 10-5. Just heard from CWRU today.

I think we are all in the same boat....waiting (not- so-patiently) hoping the invites will start coming in.

I have to admit, it has been painful listening to my fellow classmates going into Gsurge, Emed, OB etc. etc. etc., talk about the 25 invites they have received and who they have to turn down!

I know I was starting to consider sending off another 20 applications just to increase my odds!

It is still early in the game. I spoke with my home school today re interviews, they don't send invites until the first week of December.

At least we can %*$&@ on this forum...And, I can't believe the only people getting invites are the ones with 25 publications that could be teaching the prep courses for the USMLE. But who knows?

Just wondering what kinda numbers/connections these people that are getting interviews have? Just hadn't heard anything from anyone, but the same that you guys have gotten from IU - got it, reviewed it, might see you later. Do you have to have a 289 (115th percentile) and 4.3 + Junior AOA and seventeen papers in major mags to get an interview at some of these places? Oh well, just kinda frustrated with all the gsurg, derm, and radiolo-vacation people getting interviews already, while all us bone boys (& girls) are sitting around twiddling our thumbs waiting to hear back.

Has everyone that applied to Indiana at least 3 weeks ago heard something from them by snail mail? It seems from this board that they are sending out both "invites", and "sorry no invite for now" letters which would imply that most people with complete applications have heard or will hear soon. The reason I ask is because they were doing some construction on my apartment building and we didn't get any mail for two days, I'm just paranoid that my letter may be lost in space. Thanks!

JPS in Fort Worth is offering interviews for Nov. 22, Dec. 13, Jan 10, and Jan 31. It looks like they do a night before dinner thing, with formal interviews wrapping up by 1:00 the next day.

You may not wear an interview suit? Do people go to Georgetown's interviews in street clothes or something.

Nice...Apparently the coaching staff thought that since Larry Johnson could run for 257 yards against the worst team in the big ten, we should run the ball on every 1st and 2nd down against OSU. I go to school in ACC/big east country but i'm doing an away in chicago and it was so nice to see OSU/PSU, Mich/Iowa, and Northwestern on TV instead of the games being passed over for local coverage of Virginia Tech/Rutgers and Duke/Wake forest. I might have to choose residency based on regional TV coverage...

Yo, know what you mean, man. I asked one dude back in JULY and it's STILL not here. I guess I'll have to use a g-surg LOR instead. Oh, well.

Man, I am still waiting for one of my letter writers to get his ass in gear and I have already been knocked out of IU's pool. This is getting ugly.
