program bashing

Recently, I interviewed at a program where one of the high ranking faculty repeatedly bashed other high ranking programs operative experience (mayo specifically). This really rubbed me the wrong way as being unprofessional. Anyone else have a similar experience with chairmen or pds bashing other programs?
Was that high ranking faculty member previously affiliated w Mayo, resident or prior faculty by any chance?

i dont really see it as a big deal. folks can say whatever they want to about other programs; theres often some baseline truth. its up to you to filter and find out more if you want to.
