Dr. Jose Rodriguez invites all interested and qualified individuals to apply for an Orthopaedic Research Fellowship in the Adult Reconstruction and Joint Replacement Service at the Hospital for Special Surgery in NY, NY. Dr. Jose Rodriguez invites all interested and qualified individuals to apply for an Orthopaedic Research Fellowship in the Adult Reconstruction and Joint Replacement Service at the Hospital for Special Surgery in NY, NY. This presents a unique opportunity to work with renowned faculty in the field of hip and knee reconstructive surgery.

The research fellow will work closely with Dr. Rodriguez and his clinical team, research assistants, biomechanics, biostatisticians, and the institution’s IRB. Duties include assisting in study design, gathering and analyzing data, filming and editing surgical videos, submitting and presenting present work at regional, national and international conferences, and preparing manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals.

Past fellows have published in multiple journals and presented at multiple annual orthopaedic meetings.  We are proud to say that our past research fellows have gone on to match with success into an orthopaedic surgical residency.

When: Beginning Summer 2018.

Duration: 2 years, full-time position.

Salary: This position offers an adequate research fellow salary.

PREREQUISITE EDUCATIONAL LEVEL OR CREDENTIALS: Medical students, medical school graduates, residents, and physicians interested in conducting clinical research in the field of orthopedic surgery are all encouraged to apply for the position.
