University of Utah Shriner's & Primary Children's
HotSituated in in a beautiful metropolitan area of about 2-3 million in population, Primary Childrens Medical Center and Shrine provide pediatric care to Utah and the surrounding states. Utah has the highest national birth rate In the United States.
The fellowship is 6 months at Shriners and 6 months at Primary Children's Medical Center. It is an academic fellowship.
Fellowship Program Director: Marcella Woiczik.
There are 12 pediatric orthopaedic attendings.
There is a Shriners and and Level 1 trauma center (Primary Children's Hospital)
There is one research project required for the year.
They service Utah, Wyoming, Colorado, Idaho, Arizona, parts of Texas and Shriners is endowed to fly special needs children from Mexico to Utah - so patient population is quite diverse.
