I am a first year student and I know its kind of early, but I was just curious what kind of things I can start doing to develop my resume? Being relatively new to med school I was just hoping for some guidance on how I can build a strong application.
Thanks,
Matt

How did you get into medical school?
A: You worked hard, did well in your classes, were meaningfully involved in extracurricular activities, and scored well on your national standardized exams. No huge secrets.
i would suggest finding an ortho surgeon at your school and shadowing. the other stuff (do well in school, extracurriculars, etc.) goes without saying. however, if you can make yourself known to the department early it will help you get letters and good advice down the road.
