I am an IMG from india and am in my PGY3 of orthopedic residency in my country. I have cleared step 1 and plan to give step 2 ck and cs soon this year.
After I have obtained ECFMG certification, can i directly apply to a Fellowship programme? I am interested in Spine Surgery. I would like to return to my country after completion of training.
Could you please guide me as to whether I can get a fellowship and what is the best way to go about it? All fellowship programmes on FRIEDA mention prior GME of 5 years as a pre - requisite. Residency in my country happens to be of three years duration.
