I am looking for external sources of funding to complete the remainder of my orthopaedic residency, and am posting here to inquire whether anyone knows of any such sources.
I am leaving a program without a transfer of funding. The ACGME will approve an additional spot for me to resume my training, with the caveat that the hospital where I train fund my education. Unfortunately, I cannot pay for my own residency training through loans or via perosnal financing, as this is against ACGME regulations.
I interviewed at a program that wants to hire me. They are currently looking into funding, but have asked me to explore sources of money on my own as well. Does anyone know of any organizations that can fund this type of arrangement? I know that the OREF and AOA provide scholarships for fellowships, and will be contacting them to inquire about whether they would also do so for residency.
