I just found out I failed my Step II, does my transcript get automatically released to my programs, can they request it by themselves or do I have to release it again? I am worried - I had passed Step I and had great interviews. I would prefer to retake it and then have it sent.

It all depends on what you selected when you filled out your ERAS. There was a question to "automatically release any new USMLE results" If you selected NO, then it won't release it, if you selected YES, then it will.
